Hello to everyone!

A country I would love to visit is Australia. As a child, I always wanted to visit that country because I had family living on there and I used to listen all those stories related to weather, environment and animals that I just wanted to see with my own eyes.

It is located on Oceania, and is well known for its animals, as koalas and kangaroos, and its vegetation, which is very rich and beautiful. Also, Australia is well known for the weather, which is very hot on summer, and because of the beaches, that are one of the most beautiful beaches on the world.

If I go there, I’d like to visit to my family and I like to go  to the national parks and museums to meet the local vegetation and the most relevant parts of the country.

I don’t know if I’d like to study there, because it is expensive and I don’t have the money, but I would like to work there to learn the language, even if they have this very weird accent !

There is one thing that makes me really angry. I get up in arms when girls and women talk in a violent way to each other’s, using sexist vocabulary. I find disgusting when a man use sexist vocabulary with girls, and I refuse it, but I find unacceptable when a girls does it. I mean, we live in a sexist world where our languages are built through sexism and genre violence. It is also violent because there is a binary  conception in our social buildings that categorize male as good and female as bad. I think that girls have to refuse the use of sexist language, because is violent, and is charged with a lot of misconceptions that put us in an oppressed site. But, also, I know that is hard to get out of our language, to look deep inside, and see those types of things (the violent sense of using some words like "maraca", for example). I think that, to see the violence through language, we have to name, to talk and criticize those sexist things, and become them unnatural. Maybe, if we talk about it (about violence in language), girls would realize that they are reproducing violence when they use some words charged with sexism. 

On thursday we had to do an activity that was about searching places to visit in London, in a context of an imaginary study trip. We had to search places on internet, seek the prices, look for the nearest tube station to get there, and the zone in which the place is located.
It was really interesting, but like it would be with more time to do it, because under pressure it is hard to me to enjoy anything :(. Anyway, I learned a lot, because I've never done this excercise before. First, I realized that England is very expensive, and to become it real (the trip), I should have to save a lot of money. Then, it seems that if I want to travel there, besides money, I need a lot of time. I think I will have to keep this in mind, because I'd love to travel to England in a close future.
If one day I would go to London, I'd like to visit almost all the places that we've looked for, because there were relevant in England History. I would like to visit other places, too. I'd love to visit the Sherlock Holmes Museum, and go to (I hope) all the jazz clubes to listening some jazz jam sessions, like Ronnie Scott's or the Vortex bar club. I'd love to go to some punk concerts in London, and exhibitions and events of punk there. And, finally, I would like to visit the best libraries in london, and arts exhibitions.
Because of my interests I don't know if I would like to go with classmates, but I'd like to go with my friends and family.

Yesterday, by midnight, I saw for fourth or fifth time “Django Unchained” in my house, with some friends. This is a  movie by Quentin Tarantino in which appears almost the same actors that participate in his movies and other great actors and actress: Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington, and so on. This movie is an adaptation or a tribute to the old movie named “Django”, a western movie, but in the tipicall style of Tarantino.

It is about “Django”, a black slave that gets liberated by “dr. Schultz”  a man that is a bounty hounter. The condition to Django to get liberated by the bounty hounter, is to help Schultz to find some fugitive of the justice that only Django could identify, because he know them. They start becoming partners, and then Django tells his story about him and his wife,  Broomhilda Von Schaft, and how they wanted to scape together, and then got catched and separated, and then Schultz offers to Django to help him to find his wife. They find Broomhilda’s owner in Candyland, a place where white and rich people forced to the slaves to fight till death, and some other horrible things… Both characters know that to rescue Broomhilda won’t be easy, so they get a great plan…  I don’t want to tell you the end, so you can see the movie if you haven’t yet.

I really like this movie, not only because it is entertaining, but because it tells a good story in a not particular way. I dislike the scenes with a lot of blood, obviously, but the rest of the movie is really good. Almost because it shows a reality that we didn’t live now (not in that terms) but taht we shouldn’t forget. And because I like the female character, Broomhilda. 

Hi everyone, I want to tell you about one of my favourites  bands: The Doors. 

That band is one of those music that you never get tired of listening. I have many favourite bands, is true, but listening to Doors have always make me happy.

They played psychedelic rock and blues rock. I think I love them so much because I have listening this kind of music  since when I was a child (my first favourite Singer is Elvis Presley, since I listened to him  when I was five years old), but also because in their music they played different genres that I love, like rock & roll, Jazz, Blues, acid rock, and psychedelic. Also because I think that Ray Manzarek is one of the best keyboard players in the world, and Jim Morrison will be the best frontman on the earth.

My favourite song always depend on the day (I’m really fan of this band, so I like almost all the songs of the band), then I think today it would be “Not to touch the earth”. It was the first song that came to my mind by this morning, so there’s no a big reason of why did I choose it.

Something I'd like to learn

Since I was very little, I was an intelectually restless girl. Not because I had divine qualities. It was only because I had physical limitations. I have always had problems with interacting with people and my enviroment in general, so I was almost obligated to develop some other quality. As a very shy child, i had to refuge on books. Then, the little I talked with people, the most I read. Certainly, literature came first. My mum had always encourage our reading, to me and my brohers and sister, but I am the best reader in my house (obviously, it is because I have no more qualities, as I said). So, from short stories to large novels, I eated every book that passed through my hands. 
As a result, I started to learn a lot of things and, with that, I learn the love of learning and knowledge in general. I like to learn new things, but I’m afraid that everything that I learn is related with some topics in particular. I just learn by reading, so I am completely incompetent in terms of sports, music abilities and many other things. 
I really would like to learn to play some instrument, but I think that I don’t have the talent in music. I always say that my only talent is to apreciate arts, but I am not an artist. I do not write quite enough to be a good writter, and I don’t draw pretty much good to be a drawer. I don’t sing really well to be a singer. I practiced dance until I was eleven years old, but I got tired of that. And I’m really bad at sports. The sad part is that all of these things are interesting to me, but my corporality doesn’t let me do them well. 
Maybe the problem is that I don´t have courage, so I may start by learning how to lose the fear that keeps me quiet.

Santiago

I have to admit that is delightful to me to speak about cities.  Precisely because I like to think, live and go through human spaces, analyzing the structures, the meaning of the constitution, in a material and discourse sense in which are builded. I really enjoy to see how spaces are a place in which we find lots of meanings and dispositions. Particulary, cities are a center of human activities and, because of that, is full of material and metaphysic senses.

In that way, Santiago is a very important space to me. I like to walk for hours without a definite course. I consider the excercise of walking through the city  as very relevant, because it shows on some events some aspects of our society. For example, is not coincidence that, as a girl, I am not able to walk alone along the city without experiencing  Street harassment, or the fact that if you walk through a bad neighborhood, or “dangerous streets”, you will be surely a victim of assault. Then, in that sense, Santiago has very good things that I love, like those spaces that recall history events and are patrimony (Barrio Yungay, for example), and those places that are full of culture and arts. I dislike those spaces that are determinated by material conditions and socioeconomic level, not by itself, but because there where designed places that reproduce social injustices, becoming guettos and focus of violence. Those places are usually not pleasant to community.

To make Santiago a better place, I think it has to be more democratic. In first place, there must not be able to have the level of segregation that characterize our city. And then, I think we have to socialize every space, and eliminate neoliberalism that stalks our city. But I’m convinced that first we have to change radically the social structure and values that are deeply in the heart of Santiago. I hope I will be alive to see something change.
